OMG! That is awesome, excellent colours mate... Gonna have to :+fav: this

See, here’s another classic example, someone having a 2 inch arsehole, and us having only installed 1 inch piping.
The best of the bunch, just a simple background can do wonders too. :) Excellent job on all accounts!

Aye - I like the concept of my first background, but my wife pointed out that it looked like it was in the sky :p I was pretty tired but got urgent... :)

yeah this one definitely works a lot better! I also like the metal polish effects on the exhaust.

Still it needs reflections and a bit of shading on the wheels.

and in the night too! :)
Thanks man - this is worthwhile critiquing... rather than "how does it go over bumps or turn with wheel clearance like that" Lol!
I can easily go in and increase the reflections and shadows - all layers ;)

Call me chicken! :) I was afraid to go overboard (basic rule in airbrush: when you think it needs a little bit more - STOP!)
I'll make a tweak and post an update for ya buddy! :)

hehehe! yeah bullshit comments are all over the place aren't they?

yeah I understand your fear of going overboard with some things, whenever I feel like that I, create a new layer and paint on top, that way if I screw up I can easily turn the layer off - or lower it's opacity which works miracles most of the times :) That's the way I'm doing the dark horizon reflections on the sides. If it's too dark then I bring the reflection layer's opacity down a bit and it blends nicely with the rest of the coloring!

Right - I deduced that from your coloring of my Gallardo, and have been using it here, just updated this to a new version for ya - but I'm afraid my eyes are done with this pic for a while...
But - THANK YOU for the honest critiques (and VALID), looking again made me go darker on the car a bit... :)

No problem bro! I've just seen your update "Race Day" [link]
and it looks fantastic! I'm glad my tips been of help!

Definitely you should give it some time off. When we look on a single piece for too long, sometimes we miss bits and pieces. Usually when I stop working on a piece for the day, coming to it the next day, or two days later I find many things that need improvement. Of course this drags the completion time wayyy far :) but I'd rather finish it late, that finish it and looking shit :D :D

Another good way of spotting mistakes and so on is to flip the image horizontally.
